CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS are being held on April 29 2012. Anyone can enter the Club Championships and it will be a great day of fun, competition and novelty events.
On the 12th of February 2012 Broadbeach SLSC’s President Wayne McLennan unveiled the NEW Broadbeach SLSC Sponsors Board. Sponsors of Broadbeach SLSC were thanked for their generous donations and ongoing support.
The NEW Broadbeach SLSC Sponsors Board is located in the Desmond Richard/Old Boys member’s area.
The Executive Cup is series of 5 handicapped surf swims conducted throughout the season and open to all Bronze and SRC holders. Points are allocated to the placegetters and everyone gets a point for finishing the swim. The person with the most points at the end of the season gets their name placed on the prestigious cup.

Broadbeach SLSC members will be out and about from Monday the 28th of November through to the 4th of December 2011, collecting vital funds for Broadbeach Surf Life Saving Club.
The Surf Safe Appeal week and House to House Collections are a major fundraising opportunity for the Surf Club and members volunteer their time to take part in organised collections.

Broadbeach SLSC would like to introduce our Surf Club Ambassador- Joe Vickery
The Jetstar Gold Coast Titans have partnered with Surf Life Saving Queensland to assist with their fundraising endeavours so that Broadbeach SLSC can continue the great work that we do in the local community.
Joe has been selected to be the Surf Club Ambassador for Broadbeach SLSC and will be assisting the club with fundraising and other promotional opportunities throughout the year.
Keep and eye out for Joe around the club and don’f forget to bring your Jetstart Gold Coast Titans gear to get signed.
Broadbeach SLSC patrolling members are back patrolling Broadbeach beach.
Remember: Swim only between the red and yellow flags.

For the 2011/2012 season Broadbeach SLSC members have the opportunity to complete your proficiency theory paper online.

Complete your theory proficiency paper online and print out the completion form. This form must be givin to the club prior to starting your proficiency.
If you are having trouble accessing the above link and creating a profile, refer to the Lifesaving tab -Proficiency 2011/2012 and open the Lifesaving Online Account Detail Form.
Each season Broadbeach SLSC members must take part in the annual Lifesaving proficiency.
Dates for the 2011/2012 proficiencies are:
Proficiency 1: 11th September 2011 (pool swims conducted on the 6th and 8th of Septmber)
Proficiency 2: 9th October 2011 (pool swims conducted on the 4th and 6th of October)
Proficiency 3: 13th November 2011 (pool swims conducted on the 8th and 10th of November)

The new patrol trailer was received early in 2011 and was utilised for the rest of the season. The new patrol trailer is a fantastic addition to Broadbeach SLSC’s patrol.

Broadbeach Surf Life Saving Club would like to congratulate Hannah Twist on a fantastic job as the 2010/11 Jupiters Summer Surf Girl.
Hannah was an outstanding entrant for the club and made a positive impression on the judges. Hannah’s smile stood out on the 14th of May 2011 at the Jupiters Surf Girl Ball. She walked the walk and talked the talk! And made everyone proud to be a member of Broadbeach Surf Life Saving Club.
